Congratulations to Valkyrie for receiving the Salem City Kindness Award!
Here’s what her teacher shared:
"Valkyrie is SO KIND to everyone! For example, a student in Mrs. H's class would not get off the bus one day. They tried everything that he liked, and nothing worked. Valkyrie came and went into the bus and asked Corbin to play, then said, "Hold my hand! You can do it!" She patiently went up and down the stairs to "show" him how to do it, and she was so patient with him. She went to the bottom of the stairs and reached out her hand. Then she played with a toy he likes by the door. He finally came out of the bus and walked with her. It was the sweetest thing ever!
Valkyrie is VERY SPECIAL!!!"
Way to go, Valkyrie! Your kindness makes our school a better place.
